| | Almost anything, from Excel spreadsheets to web-based applications. Almost all modern software has a database that we can access for seemless data transfer. In the worst case you may export information that BDSSync pick up and transfer to MYOB automatically.
Technically, BDSSync will connect to any OLEDB or ODBC data source. That means almost any database or file format (csv, text or XML) can be accessed.
BDSSync also has several Web Services configurations that allow data to be pulled or pushed over the internet securely.
BDSSync is compatible with MYOB small business accounting products: MYOB Accounting/Accounting Plus v15-16, Premier v9-10 and Premier Enterprise v3-4.

| | Business Driven Systems provides flexible partnership arrangements. We can operate with our partners generating leads only, providing full integration and support services and everything in between.
Typically the degree to which we interact with your clients depends on your technical knowledge and time constraints.
If you want to fully configure and support BDSSync you can provide a full range of services to your clients, using us for second level support only. If you would prefer to allow us to handle the technical aspects of configuration or not wish to directly support BDSSync we can.

  |  |  |  | | What knowledge do I need to configure BDSSync myself? |
| | You will need to have a good understanding of SQL, stored procedures and understand the MYOB data structure and business rules. For the majority of developers the challenge lies with the last prerequisite. You can download a trial of BDSSync here.

  |  |  |  | | How long does it take to perform an integration? |
| | Not all projects are the same, but safe to say that BDSSync can reduce the development and testing time by as much as 90%. Typical implementations can be achieved with 3-4 days of work, assuming the integrator has a detailed knowledge of the MYOB data structure and business rules. The process of learning these can involve significant time.
If the developer of the non-MYOB software needs to be contacted delays can often occur whilst waiting for responses and information.

| | Most developers can update their own configuration with relative ease. You can ship an updated configuration file with your upgraded product to your customers, enabling them to continue using BDSSync as they upgrade. BDS can help with updating configuration files at minimal cost.

  |  |  |  | | What happens when MYOB releases an upgrade? |
| | When MYOB upgrades their programs new features are added and there are sometimes changes to the data structure MYOB uses. MYOB also upgrades the program used to access their database – MYOB ODBC.
BDSSync can be updated via a patch that is easily distributable to your clients.
Upgrades can provide opportunity for up selling via the new features included in the MYOB accounting product and ODBC driver.

| | Often an upgrade to software will not affect the information BDSSync uses, and no changes will be necessary. Should changes be necessary they can be completed in a minimal amount of time by either us or you.
