 | |  |  | | What programs can BDSSync talk to? |
| | Almost anything, from Excel spreadsheets to web-based applications. Almost all modern software has a database that we can access for seemless data transfer. In the worst case your software may export information that BDSSync pick up and transfer to MYOB automatically.
BDSSync connects to MYOB small business accounting products: MYOB Accounting/Accounting Plus v15-16 -17, Premier v9-10-11 and Premier Enterprise v3-4-5. We will be supporting the new versions of MYOB when they are available after August 2008.

| | | | | How long would it take for Business Driven Systems to configure BDSSync for my needs? |
| | Not all projects are the same, but it’s safe to say that BDSSync can reduce the development and testing time by as much as 90%. Typical implementations can be achieved with 3-6 days of work - depending on your requirements. If we have already connected your software to MYOB this could be reduced considerably.
Sometimes we need to contact and wait for information from the provider of your non-MYOB software, which can take some time.

| | | | | How do Business Driven Systems complete an integration? |
| | Once you contact Business Driven, we can generally run through a high level assessment of your needs over the telephone. We will provide you with a rough estimate of the time and costs associated with the integration.
We then assess your needs in more detail and draw up specific requirements and a full quote. During this stage we may require access to your other, non-MYOB software and interview you in more detail.
BDSSync is then configured for your systems and thoroughly tested. We can help with installation and the minimal training required to operate the software. Full support is provided as part of our software maintenance program.

| | | | | Can I configure BDSSync myself? |
| | Yes, but you will need to have a good understanding of SQL, stored procedures and understand your to software’s data structure, plus the MYOB data structure and business rules. IT specialists have these skills you can download a trial of BDSSync here.

| | | | | What happens when MYOB releases an upgrade? |
| | When MYOB upgrades their programs new features are added and there are sometimes changes to the data structure MYOB uses. MYOB also upgrades the program used to access their database – MYOB ODBC.
BDSSync can be updated via a patch at the same time as MYOB to ensure you don’t miss a beat. The patch makes sure that the changes to MYOB match your other application.
MYOB is releasing new versions of their product soon - and yes we will be supporting them.

| | | | | What happens when the other software I integrate is upgraded? |
| | Often an upgrade to your software will not affect the information BDSSync uses, and no changes will be necessary. You should ask your IT staff or us to check or test that there will be no problems with the upgrade.
Should changes be necessary we will complete them in a minimal amount of time, at minimal cost.

| | | | | What if I use an older version of MYOB? |
| | BDSSync is compatible with MYOB Premier v9 and 10, Premier Enterprise v3 and 4 and Accounting/Accounting Plus v15 and 16. If you have an older version we recommend upgrading.
Not only do you gain the features of the newer version of MYOB, the newer versions support much better data reading and writing.

| | | | | How is BDSSync supported? |

| | | | | I’m not in Australia, can I still use BDSSync? |
| | BDSSync is compatible with all of MYOB’s ODBC driver for all international versions of its software. Note that this driver is not up to date for all versions of MYOB

| | | | | I have a Mac. Can I use BDSSync? |
| | MYOB’s ODBC driver requires the use of a PC-based MYOB program to operate. In order to run BDSSync you would need to own a PC-based version of MYOB and your Mac version, but integration is possible.
